The service
Frugal Santa offers live video calls with Santa and a wish list with prices from online stores. Santa on this site is an AI video character made for holiday fun: he is not a real person, and his answers are generated live. Calls are for fun and are not a promise of any gift.
Accounts
You must be 18 or older to buy minutes. You can talk with Santa yourself. If a child talks with Santa on your account, you must be their parent or guardian and stay with them during the call.
Minutes and payment
Minutes cost $1 each, and you choose how many to buy. Minutes don't expire while the service runs. A call uses minutes by the second while it is connected; unused time from a call goes back to your balance. If a call fails because of a problem on our side, its minutes go back automatically. Free minutes
You can earn free minutes in the ways and amounts shown on the Free minutes page. A share link earns minutes only when a friend buys minutes for the first time with it; your own purchases with your own link don't count, and the number of friends who earn you minutes is capped. The email list bonus is paid once per account, after its first purchase. Free minutes work like bought minutes, have no cash value and can't be refunded. We may remove minutes earned with fake or duplicate accounts, and we may change or end these offers; minutes already in your balance stay there.
Gift minutes
You can buy minutes as a gift on the Gift minutes page, at the same price per minute. Instead of minutes in your balance, you get a gift code. A gift code works once: it adds its minutes to the account that redeems it, and the person who redeems it must be 18 or older. After that, the minutes work like bought minutes and don't expire while the service runs. Gift codes have no cash value. Keep a code safe like cash: anyone who has the code or its link can redeem it, and a code someone else redeemed can't be used again. A gift doesn't count as a first purchase for share-link rewards. For a refund of a gift code nobody has redeemed yet, the buyer can write to help@frugalsanta.lol. A refunded gift code stops working.
Call videos
Tick "Save a video of this call" only if everyone on the call is happy to be recorded. Videos are private until you share them. If you share a video, you choose who sees it, so share videos of other people's children only with their parent's OK. You can stop sharing or delete a video at any time, and we delete it one year after the call.
Santa's interview links
You can send a link that lets other grown-ups talk with Santa on your minutes. Each guest call uses your minutes by the second, up to the minutes per guest you choose; unused time goes back to your balance. Send links only to people who are 18 or older; children talk with Santa on your own account, with you there. Before the call, guests are told that Santa shares their wishes, what they like and don't, details like sizes, and a short summary with you, and they must agree. Use what guests share only for gift ideas. You can pause or delete a link at any time.
Prices and stores
Prices on the wish list come from online stores and can change at any time. Always check the price, seller and condition on the store's page before you buy. We are not the seller of any item, and no store pays us.
Fair use
Don't try to make Santa say harmful things, misuse the service, or use it to collect information about children. We may end calls or close accounts that do.
Limits
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
